  Esko Männikkö, Nameles, 2015
from serie Organized Freedom,
final edition

Photographer Esko Männikkö's (1959–) solo exhibition of previously unseen scope – the exhibition takes over the entire museum – brings together his best shots from the past three decades plus a selection of completely new material. Männikkö, who in his own words builds a never-ending self-portrait, hunts for absolute beauty and perfect composition in his works.

Esko Männikkö, the winner of the national Young Artist of the Year award in 1995, jumped to international renown quickly, and is, in terms of Finnish artists, an exceptionally international figure. The majority of his exhibitions have for a long time taken place in galleries and museums of European metropolises. !FINISHED? is the world-travelling artist's impressive interim report in his hometown.
