The services are plenty, e.g. the services provided by the shops and the lively trade activities are very attractive. The Oulu region offers good quality of services ranking from health care to social care, day-care to schools but also sports and cultural services. The occupational health care is very well organized: the day-care places can be found locally and privately and the elderly care is well planned. There are also international day-care centres in the region; a multi-language centre, German and Swedish language centres and an English playschool.
