The City of Oulu will start giving face masks for the low-income residents on Friday August 21 onwards

The City of Oulu will start giving face masks for the low-income residents over the age of 15 on Friday August 21 onwards. Masks are washable fabric masks. Masks are distributed in health care centres and offices in Haukipudas, Kaakkuri, Kiiminki, Kontinkangas, Myllyoja, Oulunsalo, Tuira, Yli-Ii and Ylikiiminki.

In Kontinkangas, face masks are given at Lamellitalo at Kajaanintie 48 B. There is only limited parking space in Kontinkangas, so customers with cars should pick up the masks from Myllyoja office at Karvarinaukio 16. In Tuira, the masks are distributed at Kangastie 16 and in Haukipudas at Simppulantie 15 A 14.

A total of four washable face masks are given per person. There are four masks so that clean masks are available when some of the masks are in the wash. The masks also come with instructions.

Free face masks are intended for low-income people over the age of 15 who cannot afford to buy masks. Others are acquired to buy masks themselves.

Face masks can be picked up during the opening hours of health care centres and offices. On the first day of the mask distribution on Friday, you should prepare for queues. Please consider picking up masks, for example, next week.

Please remember to be healthy when picking up the masks. Also remember to take care of safety distances of 1-2 meters.
