Science Centre Tietomaa, Oulu Museom of Art, Turkansaari Open Air Museum and Kierikki Stone Age Centre also have Luuppi cafés, which offer traditional delicacies and surprising treats and meals tuned to the spirit of each Luuppi destination. No ticket is required to visit any Luuppi café.
Science Café Tietomaa offers lunch during the week and hamburgers and snacks during the weekend. We also provide catering services to celebrations and events. Science comes alive and up close also in the café. The tables feature functional mini-attractions and hands-on chemical element decorations. We also host a monthly science brunch in collaboration with the local university.
Café Kaari of Oulu Museum of Art is atmospheric museum café located in the historic Åström Brothers industrial property next to the beautiful Ainola park. Café Kaari is a perfect meeting point for friends and family with great choice of refreshing delicacies. More information and opening times.
The Luuppi café of Turkansaari Open Air Museum is in the Ylikärppä house dating back to 1894. A nice day in the museum island is crowned by salmon soup, coffee and delicacies in our atmospheric café – a veritable time trip to the past.
The café in the Kierikki Stone Age Centre is located in the heart of the museum's main building, sheltered by its strong log walls. The kitchen offers tasty Northern Ostrobothnian home cooking and sweet and savoury snacks.
Oulu Museum of Art and Northern Ostrobothnia Museum host pop-up cafés in connection with different events. The best-known is probably Café Hanna Å run by the museum staff that pops up every now and then in front of the Northern Ostrobothnia Museum.
