Participation Numbers Surprises Organisers – ArTech Seminar Nearly Fully Booked
The Oulu2026-project’s open ArTech forum has received better reception than what organisers were expecting. The ArTech seminar will take place on the 2nd of November at Oulu’s Gaming Campus.
“The registration period still has nearly a week and Oulu’s Gaming Campus’ reservation space is nearly fully booked. We have added additional space for streaming usage“, states Olli Rantala, Planning Director for the City of Oulu Education and Culture Services.
The seminar’s keynote speaker is Oulu University professor Steven LaValle. The topic of his presentation concentrates on solutions of added reality from the point of view of various users. He will present what technology can currently achieve and what now seems impossible and also what may well be possible in the future. The second part of the ArTech seminar will be implemented in PechaKucha style, where different speakers will open up the use of technologies and opportunities from their own particular starting point. Speakers of the seminar will participate in a panel discussion, moderated by LudoCraft CEO Tony Manninen.
The final part of the day is reserved for presentations and dialogues of educational establishments, businesses and artists.
"The day is becoming interactive, in which all enthusiasts will be able to actively interact and discuss with the region's top experts through various technologies and content," says Rantala.
ArTech is a seminar for culture, science and art, which is a part of the European Capital of Culture internationalization and vitality promotion project. The funding comes from the AIKO Fund of the Northern Ostrobothnia Council.
