Changes in the Main Library customer service hours, music department closed
The Oulu Main Library will undergo a thorough renovation 2023–2025. Due to the renovation the Main Library will be completely emptied and moved to a new location. The library staff has already started packing and preparing for the move. The Main Library will be open at its current location until autumn 2022. When the library will be closed, a new temporary Pekuri library will open in the centre of the city.
The moving preparations will affect the services provided in the Main Library. The customer service hours of the music department, children’s department and information services desks have changed on 24.1.2022.
Main Library opening hours as well as lending department and magazine room customer service hours remain the same. See the library opening hours at the OUTI Web Library.

Music department is closed on 1.3.2022. Music department will move to the Karjasilta library and open there in April.
Books of the comic book library Sarjasto have been moved to the 2nd floor of the Main Library and other libraries in Oulu.
The books located in the library stacks will also be unavailable during their move to other libraries.
