Outreach Youth Work

The city of Oulu's Outreach Youth Work Services are aimed at young people and adults aged 16-29.

The outreach youth workers primarily serve young people outside education and working life, as well as those who wish for help with anything they may be concerned about.

Topics often discussed in the guidance include housing, independency, well-being, income, relationships, work and studies. However, you do not need to have a specific topic in mind before coming to the guidance, a wish for a change is enough.

One-on-one meetings can be arranged at the Byström Guidance Center or at another mutually agreed place by making an appointment. The city of Oulu's Outreach Youth Work Services also organises multiple group activities.

You can read more about Oulu's Outreach Youth Work on the Nuorten Oulu website (in Finnish). The contact information of the outreach youth workers can also be found on the page.

You can visit us at the Byström Guidance Center (Hallituskatu 5a) without an appointment on Wednesdays at 13.00-15.00.
