Open self-service library’s doors using your library card

Accessing books is no longer dependent on the library's opening hours, at least not in Pateniemi, Puolivälinkangas, Kastelli and Maikkula. Anyone with a library card can visit these libraries independently also after opening hours.

The doors open with a valid library card and the online library OUTI's access code. Books and other material can be borrowed and returned using an automat. The customer computers and the newspaper and magazine reading room are also accessible.

In Pateniemi and Puolivälinkangas self-service libraries one has to be at least 16 years old to use the library independently, but Kastelli library has no age limit. The Ritaharju self-service library will open its doors by the end of this year, and there will be 2–3 self-service libraries more next year.
