What are Park Lunches?

Free of charge lunches are offered to children and young people under 18 years during weekdays, and fun activities in cooperation with partners and volunteers.

All activities are free of charge and you do not have to register for the lunches. The child must bring a dish, cutlery and a drink. The food can be eaten at the park or taken home in a container. If there is excess food, it will be served to be taken home to avoid food waste. For this, you will need to bring your own container.

Only one meal will be served every day, and all special diets cannot be taken into account.

Children participate in the event on their guardians’ responsibility.

Park Lunches are coordinated by the city of Oulu's Youth Services.

Park lunches continue in the summer of 2026.
