Conference Invitation

We are delighted to invite you to the 23rd Annual Conference of the European Athlete as Student (EAS) Network, taking place from 5th to 7th October 2026 in Oulu, Finland. Conference is hosted by the Kastelli Upper Secondary Sport School and City of Oulu.

Each year, the EAS Conference provides an engaging platform for knowledge exchange between representatives from sports federations, academic institutions, ERASMUS+ project partners, and dual career professionals. The event promotes collaboration, the presentation of scientific research, and the sharing of best practices.

This years theme “Nordic Dual Career System and Transitions Between Educational Levels” will focus on how education systems and sports institutions can work hand in hand to create a sustainable future for elite athletes. Participants will explore innovative strategies and policy frameworks to better support athletes’ academic and athletic development.

The open and friendly atmosphere of EAS Conferences consistently leads to new initiatives, enhanced cooperation, and long-lasting professional connections. We look forward to hosting a productive and inspiring conference.

Registration for EAS Oulu opens in June and ends 15th September 2026.

Choose your accommodation as soon as possible

When you have registered to our conference we encourage you to contact one of our two hotels and make a reservation. We have lot of people coming to Oulu on that period of time. It's not a bad idea to spend some extra nights and see our city properly.

Traveling arrangements

Most airlines fly to Helsinki, Finland. Oulu is well connected from Helsinki. It's only one hour flight from Helsinki to Oulu. Second option is to take a train from Helsinki to Oulu. It takes about 6-7 hours. From Oulu airport you can take a taxi or bus. Taxi is about 40 euros and bus is only 2,60 euros (OSL app or credir card, if you use cash it cost 5 euros).
