N.B! Communication between families and groups mainly takes place through eVaka.
We organise preschool education in groups of Isokaakkuri and Muuttolintu.
Cooperation with Kaakkuri School is close. Preschool groups have their own mentor classes, and we organise joint projects and events during the school year. The operating culture of 5–8-year-olds is developed through joint pedagogical planning and an annual clock.
We follow both the national and Oulu’s own Curriculum for Pre-primary Education in our daily work.
Kaakonpoika ECEC centre is located near the centre of Kaakkuri, close to the services of the area, in the same building as Kaakkuri School. Our ECEC centre has five groups of children. Local nature, playgrounds and sports areas are easily accessible.
Our ECEC centre is a safe community with a joyful and inspiring learning environment. We create Safety with a clear daily rhythm and pedagogically planned activities that we carry out in small groups.
On a daily basis, we carry out pedagogical, goal-oriented activities, the cornerstones of the planning of which are the "four aces", i.e. play, exercise, reading and singing. Humor and joy between a child and an adult are important to us.
We follow both the national and Oulu’s own Curriculum for early childhood education and care in our daily work.
