N.B! Communication between families and groups mainly takes place through eVaka.

We organise preschool education in the Tenavt group.

During the transition phase, we collaborate with Myllyoja School, which is supported by pre-primary and primary teachers drawing up an annual clock together. We are also involved in the preschool-school-youth centre pilot project, which aims to familiarise both children and parents with afternoon activities. Through cooperation, we secure a child's uniform learning path from early childhood education to basic education. 

We follow both the national and Oulu’s own Curriculum for Pre-primary Education in our daily work.

Our ECEC centre has spacious and bright spaces that enable working in small groups. Accessibility has been taken into account in the premises. The yard and the surrounding area inspire children to engage in versatile exercise, and the gym has space for refreshing and fast-paced exercise. 

At Myllyoja ECEC centre, every child is welcome as their own valuable self. 

Caring, genuine and sensitive encounters, presence, joy of learning, safety, unhurriedness and a sense of community are important values in our daily operations.

We support children's positive attitude towards physical activity by exercising diversely every day, in all seasons and by utilising different environments. Each group has an "out of the yard" day once a week, during which we systematically and goal-oriented get to know the ECEC centre's immediate surroundings in accordance with the Half Day in the Yard operating model.
