Pateniemi school is a comprehensive school (grades 1-9), currently with 656 students. It is a part of the northern school district of the city of Oulu.
The primary school unit (grades 1-5) is located in Herukka (address: Risuniityntie 7) and the secondary unit is close by in western Patela area (Sahantie 2).
We are active in many national and international projects. We have the Erasmus-accreditation, and we belong to the Innokas-network which aims to develop STEAM activities at schools. Our students practice their emotional and security skills at monthly wellbeing classes.
Together with the local history association Pateniemi-seura, our school has created a historical walking route called Pateniemen raitti, which introduces our local history in mobile, digital form.
