Groups
Our ECEC centre
Pikku-Vesainen ECEC centre is a homelike one-group ECEC centre in the middle of magnificent nature. The ECEC centre has one sibling group where the children are 0–5 years old. Communal learning and shared play between children of different ages are a great asset in everyday activities. Strong small group activities support children's age-appropriate learning.

The ECEC centre's immediate surroundings offer a great setting: there are forests, farms and playgrounds nearby to explore. Pikku-Vesainen's playgrounds are of high quality and a children's garden has also been established there. In addition, a short walk away is Vesala's community centre, where Pikku-Vesainen's children can enjoy a gym shift and an ice skating rink, among other things.
Mission statement
The focus areas of our ECEC centre are positive pedagogy, communality and nature education. The ECEC centre has the Green Flag Sustainable Quality Label and the Metsämörri Quality Label.
We follow both the national and Oulu’s own Curriculum for early childhood education and care in our daily work.
