N.B! Communication between families and groups mainly takes place through eVaka.

We organize preschool education in Ilvekset and Karhut groups.

We cooperate with Ritaharju School. The preschool group have sponsor class from Ritaharju School, with whom they work together during the operating period. We draw up and implement an action plan for contact cooperation between the City of Oulu's preschool and primary education together with the class teachers. Activities are carried out both in the premises of the ECEC center and school as well as in the surrounding area. Activities have been carried out, for example, in the following areas: as joint projects, school peeks, events and visits. The school has appointed one broad-based special education teacher for pre-primary education, with whom we cooperate. Cooperation is planned and evaluated in cooperation meetings between preschool and primary education in autumn and spring. 

We follow both the national and Oulu’s own Curriculum for Pre-primary Education in our daily work..

Ritaharju ECEC centre operates in a community centre together with the school, library and youth services. In our operations, we value enthusiasm and joy, consideration for others, safety and doing things together. The environment of our ECEC centre provides excellent opportunities to implement diverse, high-quality pedagogy. 

Our ECEC centre's operations are based on warm interaction and encounters. The aim is to create unhurried days for children with lots of play and guided activities indoors, in the yard and in the nearby nature.

Our ECEC centre's activities focus on play and functional learning. Exercise in its various forms, hiking and learning in the nearby forest are strongly part of our operations.  Artistic experience, music, visual art and drama, together with research, form entities that we enliven and manifest through diverse digital expertise. 

We follow both the national and Oulu’s own Curriculum for early childhood education and care in our daily work.
