We organise preschool education in the Laululaakso group.
Soittajankangas ECEC centre cooperates with Hiukkavaara school, and a cooperation plan and annual clock have been compiled with class 1 (sponsor class) to support the operations. During the spring season, school peeks are carried out. Preschoolers hold music classes, introductory meetings and participate in a joint project implementing Steam pedagogy with the sponsor class.
We follow both the national and Oulu’s own Curriculum for Pre-primary Education in our daily work.
Soittajankangas ECEC centre is located in the new Hiukkavaara area. Our ECEC centre has five groups of children. We actively hike with children in the local environment and utilise the opportunities it offers as a learning environment. We make use of the nearby forests of the ECEC centre, the school field and nearby parks. Children get to experience the joy of learning together with safe adults.
The aim of our ECEC centre is to promote children's participation, well-being and learning through positive pedagogy. In activity planning, we focus on children's interests, identifying children's strengths, developing them and giving positive feedback. Our key principles are appreciation of play, participation, equality and a child's sense of security.
We operate according to the principle of full-time pedagogy, where all everyday situations are utilised as learning moments. We work in small groups, where every child is heard and seen and experiences of success.
"We, the Soittajankangas team, are great. A step is easy to keep going. Wings on the back are given, and solid roots to support."
We follow both the national and Oulu’s own Curriculum for early childhood education and care in our daily work.
