Groups
Our ECEC centre
Välkkylä ECEC centre is a small 3-group ECEC centre with good transport connections. It's easy to get here. Children and families are welcomed warmly and friendly. For us, presence, care and embrace are important.
We have professional skills and pedagogy is carefully thought out. There are good excursion and hobby opportunities near the ECEC centre, which we actively utilise. We take into account the needs and wishes of children and families.
Mission statement
Our activities are based on positive pedagogy: we encourage, praise, thank, discuss, respect and meet children. We show multiculturalism in the operations of the whole house. Small group activities are part of our daily lives. For us, play is both free and supervised children's joint activities, through which we practice and learn various skills needed in everyday life.
We follow both the national and Oulu’s own Curriculum for early childhood education and care in our daily work.
