In autumn 2026, our ECEC centre will not provide preschool education.

We organise preschool education in the Vellamo group.

We follow both the national and Oulu’s own Curriculum for Pre-primary Education in our daily work.

At Ainola ECEC centre, we support children's well-being and inclusion. Each child is genuinely treated as a valuable individual of their own. When raising a child, we consider it important to support the child's everyday skills, independence, social and emotional skills and consistency. 

In the midst of everyday life, we don't forget intimacy, embrace, humor and funny. Children's wishes and interests form the basis of our planning and operations. We maintain the culture of Oulu, but we also take internationality into account. We strive to maintain an open discussion with the guardians and also take their wishes into account.

 

In our operations, we emphasise the values of early childhood education in the City of Oulu: courage, fairness and responsibility. Small group activities, positive pedagogy and child participation are important activities visible to us in everyday life.
