Transfer Application

If your child has a place in Oulu’s early childhood education and care services and you wish to transfer them to another ECEC centre or home-based childcare, you must submit a new application in the eVaka service.

The new application functions as a transfer application. The application remains valid until the child is granted the transfer, until the guardian cancels the application, or until the application is terminated when the child’s current ECEC place is terminated. Transfer applications do not have a processing period, meaning that ECEC Service Coordination team makes transfer decisions whenever possible, taking into account both applicants and available places.

If you terminate your child’s ECEC place, the transfer application will also be terminated. In this situation, you may submit a new application, and the statutory four-month processing period will apply.
