Dredging in the Nallikari Beach begins
The city of Oulu launches dredging work in the Nallikari Beach. The work will begin on the week of Monday January 27. Dredging increases water’s turnover rate on the beach and thus improves water quality.
Heavy vehicles will move in the area which will cause disturbances in traffic. Construction traffic arrangements will be active in the construction site for the duration of the work. The beach has to be closed for the duration of the work.
The main contractor is Autio Infrapalvelut Oy. The work will be finished in April of 2025. The Nallikari Beach was dredged last in 2012.
