Join a Discussion Event for International Residents at Oulu City Hall on 3 November

The City of Oulu adopted its new city strategy, Northern Glow! Oulu 2035, in spring 2026. Based on the strategy, the city is now updating its implementation programmes, including the Education Programme, which guides the development of Oulu's education, youth, culture, library, sports and wellbeing services through 2030.

Share Your Views on the Future of Oulu's Services Tuesday 3 November 2026, 5–7 p.m. Council Chamber, Oulu City Hall

What kinds of services do international residents and foreign-language speakers need? Join the discussion and help shape the future of Oulu's education and culture services.

Programme:

• Welcome and Introduction: Paula Vorne, Head of Pedagogy, City of Oulu
• Learning Café Discussions
  Participants will have the opportunity to share their ideas and suggestions in small-group discussions. 
  The themes include: Wellbeing and inclusion, Internationalisation, A sustainable future and Digitalisation.

The feedback collected during the event will be used in the preparation of Oulu's new Education Programme.

English simultaneous interpretation will be available. Please bring your own smartphone and headphones.

This event is part of the preparation of the City of Oulu Education Programme 2027-2030. During October and November, residents are invited to share their views at a series of open discussion events.
