Chinese Tea Tradition at Villa Victor’s Cultural Café
Welcome to explore Chinese culture through tea. In Villa Victor’s Cultural Café series, it is China’s turn on Wednesday, May 6th from 3–6 PM.
The Chinese Cultural Café offers short cultural presentations focusing especially on Chinese tea culture, tea tasting, and the life wisdom connected to tea. “In Chinese culture, tea is more than a drink – it carries harmony, hospitality, inner peace, and the quiet wisdom of everyday life,” says Danni Wang, a tea ambassador from PikkuPanda Tea Shop and Tea Room at Oulu Market Hall, who is organizing the Cultural Café.
Chinese tea utensils, different tea varieties, and tea presentations provide an opportunity to get to know Chinese hospitality and everyday traditions more closely. “Observing tea preparation and enjoying tastings also open a window into Chinese daily life, hospitality, and the quiet wisdom of living,” Wang adds, warmly welcoming everyone to the Chinese Cultural Café.
Villa Victor organizes the Cultural Café series as part of Oulu’s European Capital of Culture year in cooperation with a network of language and cultural communities.
Welcome to experience the richness of cultures at Villa Victor!
