Reporting a Water-related Illness and Hazard Suspicion

You may report an illness or other reaction or hazard that you suspect to be caused by drinking or swimming water. 

You may file a hazard report to Environmental Health Care when: 

  • You notice something atypical in drinking water, for example, an atypical smell, color, or flavor

  • You notice cyanobacterium in beach water 

  • You suspect that you have contracted an illness from drinking or swimming water. 

File an illness or hazard report to Environmental Health Care via the online Ilppa reporting service. 

Do not drink water that has an atypical color, smell, or flavor. In such cases, you may request instructions from your water company or Environment Office's advice phone number.
