Water Quality of Swimming Pools

Swimming pools, spas and other small public-use pools are supervised with Environmental health care’s systematic inspections and sampling. The latest examination results are visible in the pool areas or on notice boards.

Operators must file a Health Protection Act mandated notification before starting swimming pool or spa operations, before significant changes to the operations or when the operator changes. Instructions for filing Health Protection Act mandated announcements here.

We do not supervise regularly rented outdoor hot tubs, wading pools and pools in housing companies’ own use. The administrators of these pools are responsible for their water quality and hygiene.
