Free-of-Charge Facilities for Residents
The city of Oulu offers several free-of-charge facilities around Oulu for the use of associations and resident groups. Facilities in daycare centres, community centres, and schools can be reserved on weekday evenings outside of their operating hours.
The facilities are listed in the Timmi Booking Service where residents may reserve them independently. On Timmi, you will find a contact person for each facility whom you may contact regarding the reservation. You must agree on the terms of reservation with the contact person (for example, handling keys). Each facility has its own contact person. Please note that you must agree on key collection with the contact person before the reservation. The key cannot be collected after the reservation begins.

General terms of use
All facilities utilize the principles for a safer space.
The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years old with legal capacity.
The person or party making the reservation must appoint a person in charge of maintenance, safety, and cleanliness during the reservation. The person in charge makes sure that the facility remains in the condition it was in when the reservation began. All furniture must be returned to original places if moved.
The person in charge is liable if there are any economic consequences for the facility owner (such as damage or mess).
Outsiders must not be allowed to enter the facility.
Entrances must be locked during the reservation. The facility user is liable for possible alarm costs.
It is not permitted to smoke in any facility or in their surrounding areas.
Using intoxicants in the facilities is strictly forbidden.
Organizing celebrations of community associations in these facilities is free of charge. Organizing private celebrations or ticketed events in these facilities is subject to a charge.
Accommodation is primarily always subject to a charge.
The user is responsible for all plans and authority announcements according to the Rescue Act.
The user must consider the facility’s maximum capacity. The maximum capacity must not be exceeded.

How to cancel a reservation via Timmi
The reservation must be cancelled via the Timmi Booking Service at least three days (72 hours) before the start of the reservation. Cancelling will not be possible after this.
Log in to the Timmi Booking Service. Choose “Username and password”. Enter your username and password into the boxes. Click “Login”. Choose “Self-service” from the top menu. Scroll the page down to the section “Bookings”. Click the three dots (...) next to the booking and choose “Cancel booking”. The system will prompt you to confirm the cancellation. Choose “Cancel booking” and your booking has been cancelled.

Register as a Timmi user
Start your registration at the address https://timmi.ouka.fi. Please note that in order to book facilities administered by Community Services, you will need a Cultural Services Timmi profile (for example, with a Sport Services profile, you cannot see the free-of-charge facilities). On this page, you will find registration instructions for Timmi (choose Cultural Services (Kulttuuripalvelut) as the service category).
Browse the available facilities and timetables
You will see the list of facilities you may book on this page. Open the facility you are interested in by clicking the link next to the facility. In the next view, you may browse the facility’s timetable and make a booking.
Please note that you must agree on the booking details with the contact person. A contact person is listed for each facility on the left side of the view. Choose the facility you are interested in, and you will see the timetable for that facility. The timetable shows the current availability of the facility. You may change the dates by clicking the arrows. Available times are listed as white boxes in the timetable.
Log in to the Timmi Booking Service
Click on your desired time. In order to book the facility, you must log in. Click “Log in”. Choose “Username and password.” Enter your username and password. Then click “Log in with TIMMI IDs.”
Read the booking conditions
Check the box “I have read booking and cancellation terms (opens in a new window) and I accept them”. Please note that if the facility is free of charge, you may still have to choose invoicing or online payment as the payment method, because all possible additional services would utilize the chosen payment method.
Choose a booking method
Choose whether you want to book the facility once or recurrently, for example, a weekly booking. Choose either “Single booking” or “Recurrent booking”.
Make the booking
The view for making the booking will open. Fill out the questions in the form. “Booking purpose” is the text that will be presented in the booking timetable for your booking. Please enter your association’s or hobby group’s name in the box “Booking purpose.” Enter the purpose of your booking in the box “Purpose of use”, for example, ‘handicrafts’. Enter the minimum estimate of users into the box “Number of attendees 1”. Enter the maximum estimate of users into the box “Number of attendees 2”. Please note the facility’s maximum capacity, which is listed in the “Additional information” section.
Make sure that the booking’s time period and number of attendees are entered correctly. Please note that any information entered into the field “Booking’s additional information” will not be automatically distributed forward. Do not list information or questions that should be sent to the facility owner before the reservation in the “Booking’s additional information” box. NB! You will see the contact person on the current page. It is very important that you write down the contact person’s information now! You must agree on details and key collection with the contact person in good time before the start of the reservation. Once you have filled out all the information, click “Next”.
Verify that all information is entered correctly
Verify that all information is entered correctly. If you want to make changes, click “Previous” and fix the information. The booking will be finalized once you click “Book”. Write down the details regarding the booking for yourself.
Do you need help with making bookings?
Customers may use computers and printers at the Service Points.
