The City of Oulu is seeking a new Immigration Council for the years 2025–2029

The City of Oulu is launching the search for a new Immigration Council for the years 2025-2029. The purpose of the Immigration Council is to strengthen the participation and influence of immigrants in municipal decision-making. Additionally, it aims to improve cooperation between immigrants, authorities, businesses, non-governmental organizations, and all residents of Oulu.

The Immigration Council enhances immigrants' participation in municipal decision-making, prepares initiatives and proposals to the City Board on matters concerning immigrants, monitors the accessibility of services intended for immigrants, and develops other immigration policies within the city. It also promotes cooperation between authorities and immigrants, businesses, non-governmental organizations, and all residents of Oulu, as well as increases authorities' awareness of the diversity of the immigrant population.

• Come and learn more about the activities and work of the Immigration Council on Thursday, May 22, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Oulu City Hall, 3rd floor training room.
