It is your last chance to influence which ideas the city of Oulu will implement with 500 000 €

94 voting proposals based on the citizens' ideas are listed on the Osallistu Oulu website (osallistu.ouka.fi). The citizens of Oulu get to dedice which ideas the city will implement with 500 000 € by vote. 

There are plenty of different ideas up for vote, such as ideas for recreation and outdoor exercise, culture, events, hobbies, libraries, nature, parks, streets, traffic, schools, and daycare centres all over the city. 

All proposals have received a good amount of votes, so the competition is tight. The results can change drastically during the last week. A single vote can be decisive. 

The vote takes place on the Osallistu Oulu website 

All citizens of Oulu starting from middle schoolers get to vote. Each voter may choose eight proposals to vote for. The city will implement the ideas that receive the most votes and fit into the budget of 500 000 €. 

The voting requires online identification with your bank information or mobile certificate. Students in Oulu's schools can vote with their school accounts. You may also vote in English.

The goal of Participatory Budgeting to increase the participation and influencing opportunities of citizens and increase dialogue between the city and its citizens. The city will implement the chosen proposals during 2027.
