Join us in designing the 2025 Regional Civil Society Academy

The city of Oulu’s survey regarding the 2025 Regional Civil Society Academy is open. 

The city of Oulu has organized the Regional Civil Society Academy in cooperation with associations, Pohde, the Council of Oulu Region, and the Ministry of Finance three times in 2022, 2023 and 2024. In 2024, the Ministry of Justice also participated. In order to realize the event in the fall of 2025, we are now gathering ideas, thoughts and concrete implementations from cooperation parties and openly from everyone. We are also mapping interest in participation in designing the event during 2025. The coming Regional Civil Society Academy will take place on October 1, 2025.

The themes of the 2024 Regional Civil Society Academy in Oulu were Civil Society Strategy and its local implementation and regional cooperation. Volunteer activity support, coping and the organizational structures on different levels (in Finnish) were discussed in theme cafés. A National Civil Society Academy is held in Helsinki on March 26, 2025, coordinated by the Ministry of Finance partnered with, for example, civic organizations and the city of Helsinki. Further information about the national event: Civil Society Academy - Open Government.
