The Linnanmaa Swimming Pool and the renovated Linnanmaa Exercise Hall will open on February 3, 2025

Citizens of Oulu get to swim in a brand-new Swimming Pool in February as the Linnanmaa Exercise Centre opens on February 3, 2025. On top of the Swimming Pool, the renovated Exercise Hall will also open its doors. 

The new Swimming Pool has a 25-meter fitness pool with eight lanes, a multi-purpose pool, a children’s pool and a learning pool. There is a total of 855 square meters of pool area. The Swimming Pool facilities are fully accessible and includes three accessible washing and dressing rooms. The contractor of the Swimming Pool was NCC Suomi Oy. The total cost of the Swimming Pool was the budgeted 21,2 million €. 

The Exercise Hall’s renovation included constructing roof and floor structures, building maintenance technology and facility alterations. For example, the size of the fitness gym and maintenance services were enlarged. The contractor of the project was the Property and Facilities Management Services of Oulu. The Exercise Hall’s renovation costs were 5,1 million €. 

The Exercise Hall includes an exercise gym, music hall and athletics area that can all be booked. The fitness gym can be used without booking.
