Linnanmaa Swimming Pool’s multi-purpose pool closed due to bacteria discovery

The multi-purpose pool in Linnanmaa Swimming Pool was closed on July 21 because Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria was discovered in the pool. The sample was collected on July 15, and the pool is temporarily closed. Intense cleaning is underway and the situation is monitored with new samples. 

All other pools can be used as normal. 

Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria can cause infection, primarily to people with weakened immunity.
