Rotuaari Square

• The Rotuaari Square is part of the Rotuaari pedestrian area in Oulu city centre.
• The square serves as a connection to a residential parking area (7 parking spaces). Unobstructed passage to the parking area must be ensured during the event, or alternative parking must be offered in the Kivisydän car park. 
• Service traffic must be granted unobstructed passage during 6.00–11.00.
• Emergency traffic routes must be kept clear during events.
• Padding or strong plywood must be used under lifts, skips and scaffolding to make sure that the pavement doesn’t get damaged 
• The pavement and streets must be protected from possible harm by placing a protective mat under lifts and machinery. This helps to prevent, for example, impact with machinery and oil leaks.
• Lifts, manlifts and skips etc. must be outlined with a protective fence.
• The screen behind the Rotuaari stage is on every day during 7.00–22.00. If you wish to have the screen turned off or utilize it in your event, please contact Kaleva Media. Making such arrangements are subject to a fee.
• The event organizer is responsible for waste management and sanitation.
• Pre- and post-event inspections will be conducted at the event area. 

• Railway station - 500 m 

• Bus traffic passes nearby.

• Parking in the Oulu city centre’s parking facilities.

Area: approx. 1700 m², usable area approx.1400 m². 

Surface: stone pavement that is kept unfrozen in the winters as well. 

There are fixed benches in the area that can be removed for the duration of the event for a charge. There is an art piece in the area, the Rotuaarin pallo, that must be protected if needed.  

There is a performance stage in the area: 

• Size approximately 10,5 x 5,5 m 
• Base height 1 m 
• Clearance height 4,5 m 
• Accessible ramp behind the stage 
• Two dressing rooms under the stage 

• There are no water points in the area.

• There is a toilet and a small drinking water point under the stage in the service room.

There are two switchboards under the stage:

• Left switchboard: 3x63 A + 4 x lighting supply 
• Right switchboard: 3x63 A + 4 x lighting supply 
• Additionally, there are 6x32 A power supply connections in the square.
• Electricity is charged based on usage.

There is basic fluorescent tube lighting on stage and colorful lighting connections (red and white). There are lampposts in the square.
