Grants for organising public events can be applied for from relevant foundations and funding bodies listed in the Research.fi database. By reviewing grants awarded in previous years, it is possible to gain an understanding of funding availability and typical grant amounts for similar events.
Tips for writing a good application for funding
- Check that the conditions set for the applicant are met.
- Check what kind of application is required.
- Fill in all the required information in the application.
- Answer the questions, do not just refer to the attachments.
- Make a realistic and as accurate budget as possible. In addition, specify any other sources where funding has been obtained or is being pursued from.
- Remember to also submit the authors' resumes.
- Check that all attachments are included.
- Be clear and careful.
- Answer concisely the questions of what, how, when, where, why, with whom and to whom. Do not ramble.
- Submit the application on time to the right place.
- Do the necessary reports and the final report properly and on time.
