Islands and Islets of Oulu

Sea areas, islets and islands owned by the city of Oulu are Natura 2000 reserves. The islands are small, and the islets are treeless. In total, the size of the area is approximately 353 hectares, about 24 hectares of which are land areas.  

There are no Oulu Urban and Environmental Services’ maintained hiking structures or campfire sites on the islands. It is not permitted to land on the islands during bird nesting seasons, between May 1 – July 31.
