Borders of Hartaanselkä fishing grounds has been marked with posts along Tuiranväylä

The city of Oulu’s permitted fishing ground borders have now been marked with posts also in the fishing ground in Tuiranväylä. The area belongs to the Hartaanselkä 2a fishing ground. The purpose of the posts is to clearly indicate where the borders of the permitted and prohibited fishing grounds are. 

Fishing is not permitted over a 100-meter area by the submerged dam under the Merikoski Bridges. The prohibition is based on fishing legislation and fire safety legislation. 

Fishing in Hartaanselkä is not permitted annually from October 1 – November 1 until 12.00, apart from scoop net fishing of migratory whitefish for the obligated procurement of roe. You need a temporary special permit from the Economic Development Centre to fish salmon, trout, and whitefish in September and November.
