Free park lunches for under 18-year-olds in three parks from 9 June to 18 July

The City of Oulu is organising free park lunches for under 18-year-olds from 9.6.-18.7.2025 from Monday to Friday in three different play parks.
Park meals are available in
- Höyhtyä central play park
- Rajakylä central play park
- the playground at the Ilmarinen park in Kaijonharju.
The parks will offer a varied programme for children and young people from 10-11 am, with meals starting at 11 am. Food will be served as long as there is enough, but until 12 noon at the latest.
The meals and related activities are free of charge and do not require prior registration.
Children will need to bring their own food container, cutlery and drink to the park. The food can be eaten in the park or taken home in a box. If there is leftover food, it can be shared to avoid food waste. For this purpose, you will need to bring your own box to carry the food in.
There will be only one food available each day, so not all special dietary requirements can be catered for.
For menus, park locations on a map and other additional information, please visit the Park Lunches website.
In addition, a more detailed programme and menus are updated weekly on the Park Dining Instagram page in Finnish: @puistoruokailuoulu
The Park Lunches is coordinated by the City of Oulu Youth Services. The programme and food distribution is carried out by a number of different actors and volunteers.
Children are responsible for their own adults at the events.
