What do I need? workshop and installation
What a success "What do I Need?" workshop and installation was!
A group of 10 young adult influencers from The Peace Education Institute facilitated the event on November 20, 2025. They interacted with youth in Nurkka and activated important reflections on what makes one glow, happy and shine. Then they encouraged participating youth to turn their thoughts, feelings and needs into an image. From there, their art was brought to Valkea where an art installation was growing as more artworks were being made. This multifaceted and multidisciplinary event involved everybody to be active listeners, brave and vulnerable souls with a touch of creativity. What a perfect way to be a part of Children’s Rights Week where this year’s theme was “every child has the right to belong and to be heard.”
The event was organized by the young influencers, Helena Korpela (Peace Education Institute) and Arlene Tucker (Oulu for All project) together with youth space Nurkka and Valkea.
Thank you so much!
