Climate Projects
Energy and climate-related projects are managed through the City of Oulu climate programme.
With the aid of separate development projects the climate programme promotes the execution and implementation of the climate strategy. The climate programme contains the key areas of the strategy that the City can impact with its actions and which can be promoted through different means.
In 2021 City of Oulu participated in two climate related projects. One was related to 1.5 degree lifestyles and the other looked at consumption based greenhouse gas emissions.
An earlier project promoting the implementation of the climate strategy was the Oulu Environment Office project ILMO – Oulun seudun ilmastoportti, which aimed to promote energy-efficient and climate-friendly practices. The project received funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
