Library due dates and reservations’ last pick-up dates at self-service libraries
From the beginning of 2023, the due dates for loans and the last pick-up dates for reservations in self-service libraries can also fall on weekends and public holidays. In the future due dates and last pick-up dates will only be moved over Easter, Christmas and Midsummer.
Self-service libraries can be visited every day of the year. You need to log in with your library card and the PIN attached to it. When the loan is returned by using a self-service station, it is immediately recorded as returned. Reservations can be borrowed during self-service hours by using a self-service station.
The reform of health, social and rescue services
Healthcare, social welfare, and rescue services will move from the responsibility of the City of Oulu to the wellbeing services county of North Ostrobothnia (Pohde) from the beginning of 2023. Read more about the reform (pohde.fi)
