Noise
Noise consists of harmful or disruptive sounds of human origin. Noise may have a detrimental effect on the habitat and on satisfaction with the surroundings.
A notification must be made to the Environment Office of Oulu regarding outdoor activities resulting in particularly disruptive noise.
Reduction of environmental noise exposure and noise abatement
In planning, the location of activities causing noise is taken into account in order to minimise the disturbance. Noise analyses are made when need rises.
