'Oulu Days' in a Nutshell
Oulu Days start at the 17th of June and last until the 10th of July.
The Oulu Days originate from the year 1962 and has been previously organized during the autumn. For the 2013 program, the City of Oulu has decided to move the event to the summer season for the first time since the original launch.
Oulu Days has become more and more popular every year. In recent years the number of visitors has been between 40 000 and 60 000 with more than 150 different organizations taking part.
The programme offers something for everyone. If you are interested in culture, you will find music, dance, literary events, theatre and film exhibitions. For the sporty, there is a wide range of fun sporting events to take part in, and for the outdoor types the festival offers many fascinating excursions around Oulu.
If you wish to know about all the opportunities the city has to offer, do not miss the Oulu Days. During the festival, there will be Open Doors Days during which Oulu's various attractions and buildings have their doors wide open for everyone.
