Frozen Nights

Frozen Nights is an international film event for children and young people, organized in connection with the Oulu International Children’s and Youth Film Festival. 

The Frozen Nights event will take place as part of Oulu’s European Capital of Culture programme from 10–13 November 2026 at Cultural Centre Valve and the Children’s Cultural Centre Kotilo. 

The event includes a film competition for children and young people, a masterclass, film screenings, and a film education seminar for professionals.

Film Competition

The competition is intended for fiction and animated films. The target audience of the films is children and young people. The filmmakers may be between 7 and 20 years old. Films can be submitted until 31 August 2026.
