Producer responsibilities and event commissioner practices for Park Picnics

This page describes the responsibilities of producers and performers organizing Park Picnics events, as well as the practices of the event commissioner.

By applying to provide program content, you agree to these terms. The producer must confirm that they have read and understood these terms as part of the application.

The Park Picnics events are coordinated by Kelluva ry in cooperation with the City of Oulu.

Responsibilities of the producer / performer

The producer or performer is responsible for the execution of their performance and all related practical arrangements.

The producer / performer:

  • is fully responsible for the implementation of the performance
  • is responsible for building the performance and for any equipment and technical setup brought to the venue
  • is responsible for insuring their own equipment
  • must inform the organizer of any changes to the content or execution of the performance as soon as possible
  • is responsible for any damage to or loss of equipment caused by themselves
  • must provide the organizer after the event with information on the use of any copyrighted material in the performance
  • is responsible for counting the number of attendees and reporting this to the organizer after the event

Event commissioner practices

As the event commissioner of the Park Picnics events, coordination is handled by Kelluva ry in cooperation with the City of Oulu.

The event commissioner:

  • communicates about the performances through its own channels
  • uses the name of the producer / performer and the image provided to the organizer in event communications and marketing
  • may provide an electricity connection at the event location if necessary
  • may provide sound equipment depending on the event location
  • obtains the permits required for organizing the event
  • communicates about Park Picnics events through its own channels (Instagram, Facebook, website, and the City of Oulu event calendar)
  • is not responsible for any damage to the producer’s or performer’s own equipment
  • pays the agreed performance fee to the producer against an invoice after the performance
