Changes on the Government's recommendations on organizing basic education for 1st to 3rd graders
On 23 March, the Government changed the recommendations on basic education. From Monday, 23 March, contact teaching for the grades 1–3 in basic education is given to those who need it. However, even after the change, attending contact teaching is optional and distance learning is strongly recommended for all 1st to 3rd graders.
The Government decided to modify the recommendation because the definition of sectors critical to the functioning of society has led to confusion and mixed interpretations in those providing education.
The schools have asked the guardians whether their child(s) will attend the contact teaching. At the beginning of the week, the teachers will inform each class on how local and distance education is organized.
