You can read, listen to music and participate in various events in the library.
Oulu City Library consists of 24 libraries located in various parts of Oulu. In addition, there are two mobile libraries which have over 200 mobile library stops.
Oulu City Library is a part of OUTI Libraries.
You can obtain a library card by presenting your passport or a valid ID card. You can use your library card to borrow books, e-books, audiobooks, magazines, music and films free of charge. The OUTI Library collection contains literature in almost 80 languages. Printed and online magazines and newspapers are also available in various languages.
The library staff is happy to help you with any requests, for example locating library material or finding information. You can access the OUTI Library database at any time via the Internet by using the OUTI Web Library.
Oulu City Library organises a wide range of activities, including author and expert visits, exhibitions and book clubs. Other regular activities include story times and book talks for children.
All the libraries in Oulu provide access to the Internet. You can also use the Internet on your own computer or smart device through library wi-fi (Kirjasto). Printing, copying and scanning are available in most libraries.
