Varjossa kukkiva auringon poika transports its visitors to the worlds of Jukka Itkonen's poems. The exhibition invites you to get to know Itkonen as a versatile artist, to taste the rhymes of the poems and to smell the changing moods of the seasons. You can drop by in the morning or linger in the evening, listen to spring in the city and walk through autumn all the way to the shore frozen by winter.

Varjossa kukkiva auringon poika is a celebratory exhibition of the 20th Lumotut sanat festival, which has been created by more than a dozen artists and creators from different fields. All of them have been inspired by Jukka Itkonen's fascinating poetry. The festival's illustrator of the year, Camilla Pentti, has a special role, having created four picture poetry books with Itkonen. In the exhibition, Camilla's art dialogues with Jukka's poems in the peepholes, gallery windows and in the interactive work Puutarhuri.
