Accessibility at Libraries

At the Central Library Saari, there is a smart aural beacon near the main entrance. The beacon eases mobility for people with visual impairments. You will identify the aural beacon from the sound signal resembling a birdsong – it signals the location of the main entrance. With the MyMoveo application or Okeenea button (remote controller), users may activate the audio beacon and get further guidance. The guidance also describes the indoor facilities and guides you futher inside safely. 

There are accessible toilets in Central Library Saari and the Libraries of Haukipudas, Kastelli, Maikkula, and Oulunsalo. 

There are induction loops in Central Library Saari and the Libraries of Haukipudas, Karjasilta, Kiiminki, and Oulunsalo.
