Studios in Saari
Central Library Saari’s studios offer you the facilities and equipment for diverse creative work. You can practice music in the acoustic music room, hold band practice, record podcasts, or stream content for personal projects. In the gaming room, you can play video games in a cozy atmosphere. Studios are designed to suit both beginners and hobbyists. In the studios, you will work independently. Each studio has its own instructions listed here.
Studios are reserved via Booking Service Timmi. You must have an active library card or registration to make a reservation. You can learn, try out, and create new things in the studios.

Acoustic Music Room Löyhä
The Acoustic Music Room is meant for independent music playing. The facility includes a Kawain electric keyboard and a Fender acoustic guitar. If you want to use headphones, you must bring your own pair.
The Acoustic Music Room can be reserved for one-hour sessions, maximum of 1session per day, maximum of 4 hours per week.
The studio is meant for 2 people.

Band Studio Hermanni
The Band Studio is meant for band practice and independent music playing. Additionally, you can independently record music into a digital format in the studio.
The facility includes the following practice instruments:
- Squier Stratocaster electric guitar
- Squier Precision electric bass
- Fender electric guitar
- Boss Katana gen 3 guitar amplifier
- Fender rumble studio 40 bass amplifier
- Roland V-drums electric drumset
- 8-channel PA for band practice
- Microphones
- Several music stands
For recording, the studio includes a PC with Reaper music recording and audio editing software. There is also Rode’s condenser microphone used for recording songs. A Nektar Impact LX61 MIDI keyboard and Audio Technician headphones are also connected to the PC. The PC’s sound card is the Universal Audio Volt 276. The studio uses Genelec loudspeakers as monitor speakers.
In addition, the studio also includes several instrument cords, picks, drumsticks, DI boxes, and other equipment for music practice.
Band Studio Hermanni represents continual learning. There are clear instructions attached to all devices, but the user is expected to learn to use them themselves.
The Band Studio can be reserved for 2-hour sessions, maximum of 1 session per day, maximum of 8 hours per week.
The studio is meant for 4 people.
Band Room Hermanni is not yet in use.
Media Production Studio Kropsu
Media Production Studio Kropsu is located on Saari’s fourth floor. It is an audio-visual studio for independent learning and creation. The studio enables the creation of different audio and video projects, such as video-podcasts.
The studio includes instructions for the devices. The staff cannot teach you how to use the devices. The studio is not fully soundproof. You can book the studio at least one month before the desired reservation.
Media Production Studio Kropsu can be reserved for 2-hour sessions, maximum of 1 session per day, maximum of 8 hours per week.
The studio is meant for 2 people.
Media Production Studio Kropsu is not yet in use.
Gaming Room Kraaseli
At Gaming Room Kraaseli, you can play PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch games.
Register at the third-floor customer service desk before your reservation. You will receive the games and controllers from the service desk.
Gaming Room Kraaseli can be reserved for 1-hour sessions, maximum of 1 session per day, maximum of 4 hours per week.
The studio is meant for 2 people.
