Basic Education & Library Route

Library Route ensures that children visit the library at least four times during their basic education years. Guided group visits are organized for grades 1, 3, 5 and 7. Book a visit at your school's local library or with an online form (in Finnish).

We provide booktalks for other grades as well. There is limited availability to these events, so please contact your local library for further details. Once a year, on week 42, the library organizes a Kohti lukulomaa! online booktalk.

Library Route contains online learning modules that teach pupils to use the library and to retrieve information. Read more about the online learning modules: Information retrieval and media education (in Finnish). Additionally, lower secondary school pupils are provided with self-study materials on Eväitä opiskeluun website (in Finnish). All basic education learning modules are available on Qridi-platform as well.
